Our airborne friends.
The lapwing takes flight, Defending its territory, From intruders near.
Its wings beat the air, As it circles above, Guarding its home.
Its cry echoes loud, A warning to all who dare, To encroach on its land.
But even as it fights, The lapwing remains a sight, Of beauty and grace.
